Simon, I appreciate overkill when the results are right. Any way to post a picture of the horn with the rods in place? I`m the kind of guy who might shy away from things that make the speaker look bad. I know, and please don`t hold it against me, but the speakers I build usually end up in a room that is funrished and I probably see them more than I get to listen to them. Sometimes I feel like a guy I worked for in the restaurant buisiness who stressed if it doesn`t look good it doesn`t taste good. I just built a pair of horns for the Fostex FE206ESR and am working on taming similar resonance problems to the one you describe. Thanks, NOXO

I'll post some pics in a few weeks, my camera is getting repaired right now. I think a few (maybe 2) wooden dowels would also suffice to kill the resonances and are much less optically obstrusive. The metal rods do give the horns a modern look although I didn't arrange them symmetrically but in function of optimal dampening = looks messy. ..
