I have two RS 1354s (5.25" dual cones, varnished w/ dammar) in a .75 cu.in. bass reflex (bi-pole) that do rock pretty well.

When this same cab had just one 1354 in it, it did ok in near feild listening, but for high SPL's, you'd need to use a larger driver IMO, unless it was a rear loaded horn.
