are there any diyers in the oklahoma city metro area? maybe a club or something? i'm 18 and am just getting started in diy audio. i'd like to see/hear other setups and what all is out there. my exposure has pretty much been limited to kids in the high school parking lot showing off their jury-rigged "ports" for their new subs. I have built some rear horns for myself tho...

Great plains audio group in Tulsa

Hi Kahunah,

There is an audio club in Tulsa OK. The point man is Wayne Parham who owns the Pi speaker company.
Just send him and email via his website explaining what you are looking for, and he will help.
If anything, he can put you on the audio groups mailing list that will let you know where and when the next meeeting will be.
You should be able to contact the members of the group via email. Some of the memebers are into fullrange drivers, and I think they would be happy to answer any of your questions.

I hope this Helps!

I was in Tulsa for the Great Plains Audio Fest in early May. I brought along my bipolar MLTL which uses the Creative Sound Solutions (CSS) FR125S (front) and WR125S (rear) drivers. Several listeners had positive comments. The design is located the design link below. CSS (www.creativesound.ca) has a kit for these speakers priced at $260.

Fred Thompson commented on his copies of these speakers on the AudioRoundTable forum at:

Read the thread for Fred's comments and my replies.
