Madisound and a few other retailers have Audax FR drivers for under 15$. One which I'm eyeing, the HT080M0, has a FS of 80Hz, allowing for use without a 'woofer, and the price is right. Also availible is the HP080M0, and AP080G0.
I think I'll get a pair of the HT080M0's. They're certianly cheap enough, at under 10$, I can actually afford to make them go "foom" without losing every penny I own. (Plus, they have a reasonable Fs, I believe about 80.) They're supposedly good up to 18khz; I can always add a tweeter if necessary. Thoughts? |
