but does anyone know anything about the old Utah Loudspeakers. I bid and "won" a pair. Some Triaxial types..
any points in the correct direction would be appreciated.

Please give us more information.
Size? Model number? Utah made some pretty good speakers many years ago.

Radio Shaft used to sell those re-badged Realistic in an 8" and 12" version. A wizzer does the mids and there is an actual tweeter (I suspect paper cone type under a metal mesh screen) on a post extending out of the woofer pole piece. No protection to keep crud out of the woofer VC to pole piece gap. An external 1R pot was used as a HF level control. I have a pair of the 8"ers. The cheap, thin aluminum cast magnet housing vibrates badly making it's own resonances. Cannot seem to fiind my old radio shaft "How to build speaker enclosures" book which showed them and a model number.
