Hi, I'm new to the Full Range group. Looking for speakers for my DIY Loftin-White 2A3 amp. Considering the alternatives, the Hemp FR8 looks like a pretty decent driver.

Using my Radio Shack Advanced Speaker Systems book & calculator, I come up with 40.7hz F3 in a 3.6 cu ft bass reflex box with a 3" port of .776" length, so guess I could just cut a 3" hole for the port assuming a 3/4" panel thickness? Pehaps some of the more advanced speaker builders would care to critque.

Also, a source for completed or partially completed cabinets would be of interest as my resourses for woodwoking are limited.

Look at the Bigger is Better thread below, a very simple build many are saying would work great with the hemp drivers.
