Fostex drivers for omnidirectional speakers

Friends!
I saw Markus Duevel's omnidirectional speaker on http://www.cd-konzert.de/english/ and they seem so interesting! I wonder whether with a pair of Fostex drivers, let say FE206E, could be useful for that kind of speakers. Anyone with knowledge or experience, pleae help!

Indeed they can, although I suspect you might want to go for one without whizzer cones, and you'd likely want to augment the bass with a couple of powered subs. Could be very interesting. Other views guys?

Here is a BLH developed for the DDD bending wave transducer, that could be modified for the Fostex.
My experience is that simple 90° reflector cones produce a flat spacial image, maybe because of the insufficient vertical dispersion, so i would try a convex design. You could try to get tops for rocket models.

Thank all of you that tried to help me.
I think that at first I'll make the BLH cabinets for the FE206E's using Fostex design and will just add a Duevel-style reflector in front of each driver. Do you think that will make any sense?
Simple and easy to realize ideas, please.

I would not suggest the Duevel-style style reflector. However, I know bulb-shaped diffusers have been used with Lowthers; I suggest you check out this link and page down to Update, Feb 2005:

Thank you so much for your suggestion. The bulbs are indeed a simple solution, hope to be efficient too. I've written to Tony Gee
(humblehomemadehifi@gmail.com) asking for all detailed design of the project.
Any other ideas from anybody are welcome.

With these types of reflectors, it is necessary to consider two things in addition to normal speaker design. 1. High frequency compensation. 2. Reflector diffraction.
