I came across the quarter-wave site a couple of months ago and was inspired by Mr Kittinger's design. I decided to build speakers similar to his however the mid and highs is handled by a 5 1/2 in Lowter in an open baffle. For the lows, I'm using an Eminance Alpha 10 in a simplied enclosure. I'm not very good with wood working.
Unfortunalty, the bass is not coming out right. There seems to be an emphasis on a note.
Can you please help me look at my design and calculation (I'm using the ported box worksheet) and tell me where I went wrong? I would appreciate it greatly if you help me solve this problem. I've been with out music for some time now.
