Hemp update

E-speakers.com and Solen are the North American distributers for Hemp Acoustics, and have posted some model information on their sites. In addition to the 8" full range there are two very promising looking woofers. No prices are posted yet, but I bet more info is coming. Hemp Acoustics site is being updated as well.

The price list has gone up at Solen. They are a bit on the expensive side, but if they are as good as the hype and the frequency response is actually as flat as the datasheet shows then probably not an outrageous price at all.

In Canadian dollars, $128 for the 8" fullrange, $119 for the 5.25" and $133 for the 6.5".

To all Europeans in this forum: the Hemp drivers will be available in Europe soon.

The line-up will start with the 8" low and hi-Q types, round frames, die cast. A first review in a German DIY magazine might come in January.

Pricing is not yet 100% finished - it will be a bit higher than US but still less than "self-import" (after shipping, tax, VAT & customs).
