Full Range Speaker Photo Gallery

I posted a photo of the baffles in the Wild Burro Audio commercial section. It would probably be better to discuss the particulars in that thread, as opposed to in the photo gallery. I'll answer your question over there.

So, without wandering too far OT, and as charcoal may have been wondering, how is the low end, cervelorider? With floor coupling a similar style OB I made had decent low end (mine wasn't square and driver was off-center as Charcoal also asked). Without that, I could imagine it might get a bit thin.(?)

I'd left these unfinished for months because I realised too late that my design was flawed & they sounded like empty tin cans, but this weekend I finally decided to finish assembling them following Bjohannesen's advice about stuffing & they sound passable (thanks Bjohannesen!). I might take them to my office at work, or just keep them until I move house & need speakers in more than 1 room.

I've got the itch for building again now & am trying to decide what to do with a pair of W3-871C I have still in their original packaging...

My humble attempt at CHR-70 build based on the plans for the slim deep bass reflex design on Mark Audio website.

Build from 2 layers of 3/8" MDF ... a box within a box.

I must say that they sound amazing for such a small driver ... imaging is superb.

After playing around with the Equalizer of my foobar2000 Player,
they sound Great! (These Saba Speakers are a bit rude in the Mids without a Filter)

Direct, fast, wide, clear and when you give them a Subwoofer on the Side, then they sound excellent even with electronic Music like Yello-Touch or Trentemöller Stuff!

Up to 80€ Euro(pair) they are matchless, imho.

Latest Cornucopya. This time with a more rounded spiral and foam front and back. These are a trial run for my Brother in law who caught the bug but lives a long way away and doesn't have access to drivers and such so Giau, if you're looking in...

These are 50 cm rather than the 70's seen earlier in this thread. The driver is a Jordan 6T. Not bad for a driver the size of a tweeter.

What material are you using for that?

FH3-Inspired Build in Foam Core 30 in tall with TC9FD

I just finished one horn inspired by the FH3. The height is 30 in tall (limited by foam core stock). I scaled the internal cross sections to a Vifa TC9FD 3.5 in driver's Sd. This resulted in a cabinet internal dimension of 4.5 in wide x 5.0 in deep, and a terminus choke width of 1.33 in. The rear horn expands in a graceful curve to 12 in wide to provide stabilization feet and enhance the horn output. It actually sounds really good. After testing it by pulling driver from my Cornu spiral, I now must order more Vifa's. It is a fun build and can be done in an evening and a morning as one has to wait for glue to dry.
