It's a re-purposed 5.5" unit cover from a car audio install I did for a friend who didn't use the covers, aurasound covers I guess. Attached with neo's at two points and it holds very nicely.

Nice! Are the drivers 5.5" too?

Dave - If you want a nice picture I'll set them up and take something more suiting if you want it for something other than personal purposes... That is if you don't like one of the images above. Short answer YES, just say which one or if you'd like something more in suiting let me know.

Rullknufs - No these are 4" drivers but the frames are a tad larger and fit almost exactly to the inside edge of the 5.5 grills plastic flange, neo's are burried under the veneer.

Niklas,

The CHR70 uses exactly the same basket as your EL70...

That would be great. I want to put them in a collage of builds for the plans document. I really should send you a copy with all the updates, but it probablt worth waiting for the trapezoids.

Default FH MK3 veneered and finished!

Finally done my FH MK3s. Running with CHP-70 (gen-1) drivers now. Really good match. Been listening to Metallica, Overkill, and now Megadeth. At my wimpy listening levels (70-75 dB) paired with a 5 watt/channel amp these are pulling nicely. Speakers sound much bigger than 4 inchers. With EL-70 I get even for more oomph.
