They tend to be a bit less violent than coal mine strikers I can assure you. I have a relative that used to work the coal mines in Ohio and they had a strike down in West Virginia. Anyhow, long story short, he is is not allowed in the state anymore for taking pot shots at the scab-driven trucks with his 22.

In matters like these, patience really is a virtue. Now I just need to find Patience and see if she is willing to give up her virtue...HA!!!

Just fired off my Bi-polar ML TQWT using the CCS FR 125 full rangers and after 5 minutes of listening I had to grab two handfuls of Accoustastuff and push them into the vents. Hard to imagine a 4" driver with too much bass! Can't measure them but they follow M. King's model for two drivers in a single enclosure.

The physical specs are ;

length 50"

Top and bottom areas 1and 7xSd respectively.

Vent; (Now restricted) 3'' dia x 6'' flared at both ends.

Drivers at 50% of length

Fill 1/3 lb / cu ft.

Material; Baltic birch (3/4 ") braced along side joints and 1" hardwood dowels front to back in 11 places.

They really sound great. Would love to post pictures but the files are too large and my computer skills are too small to figure out how. Thanks Bob--these are a whole new kind of musical animal.

Pete

The factory likes driver orders in 1000 piece lots but I may try to order a smaller quantity of 16 ohm versions the next time I need to order more 8 ohm.

Same with the bipole ML-TLs.

I was tempted with the monOnkens to do the same thing. but figured that as they broke in they would improve. Nope. 2 weeks later i added some foam stuffing to the port (because it was easy to get at). Bass got better, with no lack to impress. Version 2 of the cabs are now in tuning... without a little aperiodic help the BR port will unload the drivers in dramatic fasion if fed bass notes of the right frequencies (a problem with all BR).
