Hi,
About 6 years ago, I bild my first full-range speakers with the Fostex FE164. It was a small basreflex enclosure. Now I have a little more space in my listening-room, and I was planning to build a new speaker with the Fostex FE108E Sigma. I found on the international fostex-site the recomended back loaded horn:www.fostexspeaker.de/gehaeuse/108ez_encl.pdf, but there are a few things that I don't understand. Is there anybody who has already build this design? The few things that I don't understand are: - Why are panels 29 in 6 pieces? Is this so you can thake the panels out to increase the pressure chambers volume? And if it is, how do you know what to do? - What kind of sound absorbents can you use best? I hope anyboby has got the answers, or has the links to the site, where I can find the answers? Thanks, Alexander |

I built these enclosures about a year ago. I am still very happy with them. Instead of 6 pieces for panel 29 I just used 2 over the full width of the chamber. For the sound absorbents I used tandenschuim (teeth foam). Because I like to build I am now building Bob Brines's FT1600's. I am looking forward to compare them.

Has anyone here tried the Nagaoka Swan D-101 cabinet with this driver?
I'm interested in how they compare. Thanx, r |
