Talking Pair of FE204 looking for a design

Hi everybody,

I'm really a newbie in cabinet design.
I've got a pair of fostex FE204 and I would like to built a central loudspeaker to complete my HC system. The central is the most important loudspeaker to me, so using 2 FE204 may be very interresting.

I want to use these 2 FE204 in //, that would make a 4 ohms loudspeaker.

Does anyone has an idea of cabinet ?

Attached is the datasheet.

Regards

non-shielded driver so you want to mount the pair magnet to magnet in a bipole.... real low Q probably means a sealed box with a high F3, and extended bass shelf, or an aperiodic box (cause you probably aren't gonna fit a horn as a centre)

The pic is for a pr of 40-1197s but will give you an idea

Concerning the FE 204, if you yant to built a center speaker, one good plan is the one propose on the fostex web site.

But ... be carefull, one of the problem with the fe 204 it that the efficiency is 5 db louder at 8000/ 1000 hz than at 100 Hz. (I mesure it)

Thus you need to compensate that problem with adding a 6db filter 0.50 to 0.33 micor F is perfect and adding a tweeter (e.g : FT 17 H)

Concerning the cabinet it self, please let me a couple of days and I will try to give you a plan for a double Fe 204 system with FT 17 H tweeter.
