Thanks to Dave, Scott and Chris for using the Eikona in the Stephen Hawking project. Ted would have been thrilled.

I'll be very interested in reading listening impressions of the design.

A push-pull woofer assembly below the Eikona would make this really interesting. Need some space though...

Not wrapped in black fabric it wouldn't? Would remind me of an old mirage speaker?

I don’t think we will make an A7.3 specific version of this, but there is a series underways for the Alpairs that is a similar monolith presentation… A7.3 and A12pw in the works, we have only done the A103/A10p so far.

So would we. They cost in a range that exceeds our usual Frugal-phile™ budget, but a better than expected insurance payment will cover them.

I just swapped a ScanSpeak 10F into my wall mount flat BIB and it sounds pretty nice. Cabinet will optimally have to be redone for the different Vas though.

Maybe one of the pretty darn good simulations available in plastic laminates these days?
Much cheaper, a helluva lot easier to work with than stone, and someone’s gotta move these buggers during and after fabrication
