These are simply the best bookshelf speakers I have ever heard. Comparing with the reference Sony ES system, with the ES -333 speakers, it is clearer but of course lacks bass.
I have added a tweeter to the speaker in place of the port. So it is now a two -way system. The tweeter sizzles a little, and the bass line is barely visible, but the clarity and presence of the thing. I don't want to mess with it further but will have to reduce the power to the tweeter and also add a inductor to the woofer, somewhere in the range of 0.20 mH as I remember.
