The Audiosource Amp 3 is not currently in bridge mode (Although you do see 2 Amps in the pic )... Thanks for the warning... I'm going to rewire the subs for 4 ohms, since I'm using the one amp. I am aiming to have the second sub done in a few days and raize God almighty hell. Forgive me
No but I've read the datasheet. And I've repaired a lot of amps. Quadrupling (or more) the drawn current isn't something amps are excited looking forward to. And the protection does not always work as good as expected.

It breaks more easily

Indeed, the output devices and/or power transformer may fail to protect the mains fuse. All kidding aside, there is no warranty against the product being used outside its safe operating area.

Indeed. When I was wiring up the right side array, 1 wire did break during the stuffing phase on 1 speaker. I guess I got lucky. None of the PVC was glued so I could disassemble, rewire and reassemble. No plans to glue either

The wire usually breaks because you nipped the wire when stripping it.

Dr1v3n and all the contributing members, I'd like to think you all for this fascinating discussion. Although I joined this forum several years ago, I've not visited until recently. I read the whole thread. It was quite a journey!

Sir, I live in Cary. Maybe I can visit you sometimes ;-)

If you use solid core something thicker would be better. Mains twin and earth has been used successfully as speaker wire

I've used 12AWG solid copper originally. The gauge was typical of 120c AC household wiring. But I think Dave might be on to something with the skin effect frequency transmission with thinner solid copper wire.

Glad you enjoy the thread and welcome back. You live in the containment area for relocated yankees? I used to work there. PM if interested

Wire ain't rocket science or voodoo - but yes the thinner solid core is easy to nick if you don't have an appropriate stripper.
