Default Carbon Fiber with Blue LEDs - Computer Speakers

I'm in the process of building some Sprite speakers that were designed by Paul Carmody. They were originally designed for a boom box, but I am planning to use them for a racing simulator. They will be full Carbon Fiber, plexiglass and some blue LED's. So far, I am really pleased with the progress. I plan to continue to update this with pictures as I go along and I will have a full video build log as well as a video review on my YouTube channel when I finish: https://www.youtube.com/user/123Toid

Here is the first one almost complete. I have 1 more to go.

While I'm not necessarily interested in your type of project I do envy your incorporation of LED's. I have no idea what I'm doing with that and always wanted to venture into lights in my projects. Looks nice. Great job.

Do you glue cf panels on wood? Isn't it difficult to cut those cf panels?

Very neat. Looks like "carbon fibre" finish vinyl over an MDF box. The illuminated Plexiglass sheet between the baffle and the rest of the box is a nice touch.

Thanks everyone. So far I am very happy with the build. I am jsut completing the last one tonight. I should have a video up in the next week showing how I built them and incorporated the LED's.

I actually used a vinyl wrap on the MDF. I ended up using the Vivvid XP pro stuff. It worked really well, but I realized that I really need a heat gun on the round overs. A blow dryer just didn't give the BTU's I really needed. But that is part od DIY, learning from a few failed attempts.

I did glue the acrylic to the mdf. For this I used a 2 part epoxy. I think it was loctite brand.

I finally finished them! Well in all honesty, I finished them about a week ago, but my editing software didn't want to comply. I went ahead and made a video so you can see exactly how I made it. Please ask if you have any questions, either here or youtube. hopefully this will be helpful to you guys.

By the way, I love the speakers! They are amazing!!!
