I meant, the inductor ( copper bobbin )foam between the woofer and ground (is excellent)
If the plate is aluminum, no problem ( I guess )

Hi koolstofje,
Some kind of funny project you've done, like it somehow
I have seen your new video and you have removed the dust-caps of your woofers.
Can you probably explain why you did this?
Have you heard a change in sound or is it only an optical liking?
I thought that as long the caps are not porous, you will reduce the effective radiating area - Sd...lowering the weight of the membrane and resulting with a higher resonance-frequency...

Foam is used to make it more comfortable so that it can't burst if the sound is louder.
The layer has been tightened without-caps-caps. And the acrylic coating makes it completely dry low!Hi koolstofje,
