FullRange Refs for MyRef v3

I had the HQ48001 (Premium Sound Solutions Private Limited) lying around all the time. They are brand new but I only used them when I was troubleshooting the myref. I also have the Philips Woofers (from the time when Philips manufactured it). I don't know which models though.

The laziest thing for me to do is to order MDF towers of around 150L and put these in (or buy HQ48414P). Should I stick the woofers in as well? I plan to go sealed. How many Litres?

Loudspeaker HQ4801 maybe is not a fullrange driver. Provided link is misleading, it point to a very different model HK4801P which is a fullrange indeed.
HK48414P is a fullrange driver, but there are no Thiele-Small parameters on the link, so you must measure them, in order to determine the box volume. Frequency response is not known also - what if is is not good? Why are you rushing to buy a driver without knowing anything about it (unless it is very cheap)?

You need a measured frequency response to determine that exactly. It says "wide frequency spectrum" on the link and that can be anything from totaly useless to truly fullrange.
Small whizzer cone attached to a larger cone is a characteristic of a fullrange or a wideband driver.

100 Hz- 10000 kHz is wide range
20-20kHz it's "hi-fi"
Also 40-18 kHz is hi-fi 🙄
It depends where ( and how ) the -3 dB point is placed, if a FR chart had any usefulness.
Fullrange means that you can throw at it any signal, it would then exhibit a response typical of any electro-dynamic ( or electro-acoustic, or simply trasducer) device

You can still use it with the MyRef, but you will have to reduce the rail voltages for the MyRef to somewhere in the range of +/- 24..28V DC, or it will keep overheating and/or activating SPiKe.

You may also have to adjust R1, R4 a bit lower (say 680..820 ohms) if the rails are made too low.

Finally, you may need a helper tweeter - there's some difference of opinion whether it's required with the Hi-Q fullranges and it's mostly an issue of subjective choice. A small Mylar or silk-dome tweeter sometimes helps with the highs, a la the Pioneer Bofu.
 
I'm still open to other drivers subject to availability in India. I can shell out $2000 for the drivers. Sealed full range is my pref. But accuracy first.

Whoa - that's fairly serious money. The Philips (now Boston) Hi-Q full-range drivers run to all of $8-10 each (they're the value kings, and have been so for 25 years), but the tradeoff is limited power-handling. Those who've been using them swear by their sonics.

It doesn't hurt that they're now owned by the same folks who own Denon, Marantz, etc.
 
I have recently got original NOS Philips HI Q international drivers. Current Boston Acoustic 8" HI Q series drivers are same.You can still get Boston Acoustic HQ48002 which is same as your driver but 8 Ohms. Unfortunately no TS parameters available. I have tried them on 40Lt Bass Reflex design by Philips. They sound very good with 5 watt amp camp. Bass is also decent.

Current production Boston HQ full-rangers appear to have an octagonal mounting frame, identical to the later model Philips drivers. However, the older Philips Hi-Q 48002 you have shown appears to have a circular frame. This may or may not have an impact on the T/S parameters shown - which one were they measured from?

They were measured from Boston Hq48002 drivers.

This looks like a no-brainer - 40L bass-reflex, Boston HQ48002, and maybe a small fabric-dome helper-tweeter with a 1..2.2uF 1st-order XO. It will max out at about 25W Pmax, but that's fine for the AmpCamp, JLH, Mullard and various other Class-A and composite chipamps like the MiniRef 1875. All the cost will be concentrated in the enclosure, but it's still going to be under $25..30/unit - hard to beat those numbers.
