Metronome cab + Fostex Fe206En

Hi everybody!

First of all, wanting to move to a bigger diameter FR, I wonder if I could stuff a Fostex Fe206En to a Metronome cabinet.
I was looking to the Fe207 cab but I don't know if it's a straightaway fit or any mods might be necessary.
Is this the correct cabin or some other Met enclosure may work better?
How low this would go?
What do you think?

Secondly, I'm planning of using a supertweeter like Fostex FT17H.
What's the best placement position? Below, above the Fostex cone or out of the cabinet?
To cross it at 10Khz, what cap value should I use?

FE206 is not a great match with a met, FF225wk on the other hand is quite good.

+1 on the 225. I've heard Steve's pair with them + supporting super-tweeter, and they work a treat. The 206 can be made to work, but you'll need a high output impedance amplifier & likely some Eq (+ be few degrees off-axis), either active or passive, due to its low Q.

Depends on the tweeter.

For the FT17H you could try starting around 2uF for nominal 10K - if you've got a pile of cheap .47s on hand, it never hurts to try paralleling them until you get the sound you like, and then get as boutique crazy with single value cap closest to that.

If you are going to use the FT17 you would do well to use the XO that Steve worked a year to get right. Info should be near the end of the Met thread (and on the Audio-Talk forum).
