Radiation seems to widen a lot around 6kHz. What might cause this?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

The dip at 6khz probably corresponds to the cone breakup mode. The scale is super magnified which is refreshing to see from a manufacturer. The 2.5 dB dip at 6khz is really not that bad given the response curves from similar drivers.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the interest in our new driver and for the tip on the discussion here.

Sometimes a dip like that (much like a peak) can be a result of some break up issues. If so then it will show up in a spectral decay. In this case though, the spectral decay is quite clean.

Just a small dip in the on axis amplitude response.
