Roll up some material (felt / whatever you're using to line the cabinet) and stuff it in the vent. Quite literally. Then adjust the quantity to suit. Like this, from Troels Gravesen's site:

Not quite yet, i was distracted by a entirely different project, so this is still pending.
I am building another pair of speakers with bamboo and have a little piece left, which i have planned to use for this project. I will update this thread with more news. Although i have a tiny problem right now, which is sourcing a proper bassreflex tube in Europe for this speaker..
What's the port you need that is so difficult? (dimensions/plastic/paper)
You can build diy in plastic or paper, or buy if you want.
You can find good ports in the trash, just cut to dimension.
