I have a number of these Jordan 50 mm mid-tweeter drivers and despite their 12 13 kHz resonances would like to try them again.
The resonance gave them a somewhat harsh upper-mid range and irritating treble, but their lower mid-range was very clear and worth capturing. The hangup is that the surrounds have become VERY stiff over time. My email to EJ Jordan with a request for help has resulted in silence. Can anyone old enough to have some of these make a suggestion about how to restore them? I am good at small and intricate operations and have reconed larger speakers successfully and made very tiny devices of other kinds. Any suggestions would be welcome. Mick |
