Default full range driver for cheap(er) =]

is there any driver that would sit between the tangband 3871 and the jordan 53?

$110 per driver is alittle steep for my budget and $10 per driver...well i can afford more then that =]

Default Fe-103E?

Have you considered the Fostex drivers? The 103 looks pretty good.

i need something that has about 30w of power handling and the price is nice as well

the 125K looked GREAT especially the off axis response...until i saw the top end of the graph...think that can be helped?

the 127E also looks pretty good with nice sensitivity as well

anyone have any experience with these?

I guess I have to ask what has dissuaded you from the Tangband W3-871S. I've heard the 160 series of Fostex drivers and without a doubt they are nice to listen to. However, I've also used multiple 871s in enclosures and gotten higher SPL and good sound for a lot less money. Have you seen the response graph for the 871?

Also, there are many full-range driver experts on the
Full Range Driver Forum. Many much more experienced than I am.
