I'm building a set of these TQWT cabinets for the 12" full range driver out of two layers of 3/4" baltic. I've got everything cut and about ready to close them up now so I need to figure out if i need to anything inside first.
I have a roll of thin cork material and thinking about gluing it to either the lower section at the mouth (so i don't need to veneer it) or to just the side panels (inside) or just to the inside line, or all of the inside. Any suggestions? |

This is similar design to post 14 here TL-box for BG20 Visaton
It sounds like area around the fold and around driver are more important than mouth. You need stuffing in the closed end for sure. |

If it's for aesthetic reasons, why not. I quite like cork. It won't have much damping effect; not on the pipe resonances at any rate, although it may produce some slight damping of panel resonances / lower them in frequency. Whether this would be audible, or if it is, a good thing, is another matter.
