Default kef 105.4

Hi all,anyone use these speakers?what power amp are you using?
I'm using crimson 40 watt amps ok at low ish volume,but sound a bit strained when wound up a bit.
Kit amps?

I used the Kef 105.2 for many years (and I still own them although they are not in use at present).
The Kef speakers will work with 100w or 200w amplifiers with no effort. The speakers can produce good bass but it needs a powerful amplifier to do that.

Thanks Don,i tried them with "naim amps"the sound was a bit clearer,a 50watt "beard"valve amp was the best[much more dynamic] all this was 30years ago!!
so what make?

Bi-amp. Get a cheap "studio" 100W power amplifier for the bass, and
use the Crimsons for the mid treble, reducing the input capacitor on
the Crimsons for say -3dB @ 100Hz so they don't clip due to bass.

Thanks Sreten,but i'd have to get a circuit diagram of the kefs so i could work around the "s.stop" system.
anyone got one?
