There is little if any change in bass output since they are inherently the same driver. The main differences of the MAOP cone are in the midband and HF, i.e. those frequencies primarily reproduced by resonant rather than oscillatory action.

Nice work (with both speakers) -glad to see the expensive ones are now in a more suitable home.

Any chance you'd be willing to share the boom box dimensions? I have a pair of Alpair 10.2's I just don't use in some MLTLs that I'd like to try something different with.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mikje

I made you a quick drawing of the box dimensions but I am not Picasso.

Click the image to open in full size.

I used 16 mm plywood for most of the parts. The volume is about 17 litre for each box. Please let me know if you would like to have more information.

Cheers

I have been working on something similar

Can I ask how you curved the front baffle? and get the drivers to sit nicely in a curved shape?

Thanks
