wo Cal, that's cold! Ur Canuck thermometer may be off tho; 32.7 here in paradise. My buddy in LA was just telling me how they can't crack 70 there.
LOL, here in DC, we just hit 90F (32C) yesterday and my A/C unit decided it was time to stop working.
You guys really ought to catch up. Using ºF never did make sense, but if you must, it's 60F here and climbing. 🙂
Fahrenheit was a subjectivist, basing his silly scale on human experience. No one of the slightest scientific bent would ever use such nonsense.
Found that silly rant on Google? I sure did. The guy is a... uh, a funny guy. X, you should know this sort of thing with your background. Seriously though, Your body can tell the difference between 19º and 20ºC in air or water but not necessarily so with 1ºF in air. Water? Maybe. So why do you need it to be finer than that? Besides you Fahrenheit people don't mind decimals do you, 98.6º anyone? There’s more resolution with F (almost double at 9:5) and no need to use a decimal.
My car climate system increments in 1ºF or 1/2ºC so I have finer control with C than with F.
Shall we continue?
Nah, this is way OT. 🙂
Cheers.
My home thermostat is in F and I can feel the difference in how cool the AC is between 75 and 76 that’s for sure. 🙂
Actually, in good old Amarhricann industrial labs like GE, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Ford, GM, etc they still use F on experimental test stands. Inlet air on high performance gas turbine engines is 1050F not 565.5C. But we are way OT. I like my miles and Fahrenheit.
Did you know that a mile is a metric unit? It’s 1000 paces of an average Roman soldier’s stride. Pace is 2 steps (every other step). Walk a 1000 paces and it’s about a mile. Something to be said for that. I happen to like it because I have the exact Roman soldiers pace 5.28 feet.

And apparently there is some sense to the Fahrenheit scale. If you mix equal amounts of ice, water and ammonium chloride you achieve 0ºF. Practical, right? I mean who doesn't have a bag of ammonium chloride on a shelf somewhere?
Oops, I did it again.
BS
Fred, you have big feet. Your wife must be happy.

OK I found your big one. I'll have to stick to something in the 30 - I mean 76.2 - size. Is there a Vas/Qts/Fs code for sizing these re: volume?

Don't be so sure.
Where I work...degrees Celsius is Good Enough 😉
But MPH still makes more sense to me than KPH
Fred,
xrk is my source for size and depth. These boxes are not perfect but they are very forgiving. Just tell him the driver and hopefully he can help. Being a four mouth horn you might want to consider something with a lower Q.

Degrees F will always have its place. 45 years after we converted to Celsius, 95% of people here set there ovens in F.

I prefer Kelvin (K)
"Hey Boss, it's 300 degree Kelvin - way too warm for working. I go home..."

Thinking about cornu's as rear and ceiling speakers in a atmos set up. Pondering if this front horn on a faital pro 4re32 , 27" inch cornu , would work.
