Yeagh, look at post #626.LOL, but once he puts the front baffle in place you will not be able to see the mess inside.
I think white glue is to stiff/unflexible and the foam might get loose due to vibrations. Perhaps it would have looked better if the silicone was gray, but I used what I had at home.Solhaga,
What are the channels made of? Black foam core or is that like vinyl? There are no points for internal beauty as long s it sounds good if channels are foam core and cut cleanly, they seal nicely with cheap white glue. They are also stiff in compression and would not require bracing at throat.
The foam you guys are using is hard to come by here in Sweden.
It is considered art material and costs $15 for a 70x100 cm sheet.
The XPS foam floor underlay costs $3 for the same size.
It is rigid enough for the structure, but the innermost curves tends to bend outwards. Hence the braces.
Nice, I hope they stock it, not all of them do.well holy cow i was walking through the mall and i saw an "OPENING SOON" sign for a Dollar Tree store. soon i too will have foamcore at LAST!
No chance man, they are forever known as the Cornucopya, thanks to Ikoflexer.hey can we change the name and call foamcore cornu's to cornFu's (the capital F is in praise of foamcore)
as soon as i have my hands on foamcore i will start a splinter faction muaahhhhh! ...
You don't get splinters from foamcore. You do get paper cuts...

Not only that but he spelt fraction wrong.

I'm pretty sure he meant faction.

BTW, "spelt" is a food, also known as dinkel wheat, or hulled wheat.

I suppose my post was far too lacking in emoticons (again). The sticking-tongue-out was inadequate...
I was trying to go for sarcastic again, but somehow I missed (again).
(Where's the "sarcastic" or "tongue-in-cheek" emoticon when you need it?)

Amaranth does produce copious seeds which if left to itself produces lots more amaranth plants. Never knew the seed was used as food source though. What does this have to do with damping speakers? Easy to grow by the way and way healthy for you and personally, I like taste better than many other leafy greens.
