Default Zaph audio Hi-Vi B3s question

I'm considering building these 3inch full-range cabs for a HT system. I want hide them by incorporating them into a 4 inch tall shelf, under the tv. They will be behind an opaque grill cloth (black, like the shelf). Sort-of a stealth, shelf, sound bar.
To make this work, I'll have to recess these drivers 1/8th inch. The plans call for flush with a round over. What impact will this have on the sound. (the shelf will be 10 inches deep with something decorative on it)

I doubt it will have a very audible effect. The lower mids may be a little boomy located where you describe, but nothing you couldn't adjust to taste on your receiver. If your receiver has Audessey or similar, it will adjust for you. Good luck with your build!
