Default Question

Will these speakers, Atlas Sound - FC104 (i have two), work with the Lepai 2020a+ amp? If not, what are some 4"-5" speakers that will?

Im building a booombox so im trying to keep it sorta small.

You won't get any bass from those, a better choice would be say Mark Audio CHR 70.3 4 inch. Reasonably priced, a little more power to drive but decent bass even in a small sealed cabinet!

A small speaker with a high resonant frequency will NOT do bass (laws of physics)! The FS of the MA driver is an octave lower and has a longer cone travel (will push more air at lower frequencies). Try Madisound or Creative Sound Solutions for these drivers. Don't expect miracles from these small speakers but the CHR 70.3 will get you lower bass than the driver you have!

Good luck

as might Fostex FF105 and certainly 125WK - any of which would likely make the Atlas sound like exactly what they are - 25 or 70V line "public address / background muzak" drivers - not a bad thing, just not really something I think most of us would want to actively listen to

Could i do a 4" woofer and a 4" full range?
I have room for two 4"-6" speakers...what combo would be most effective for good overall sound?
