Earth to Planet 10:
That sim above you did for the Fostex; what software did you use and where can I get it (if it's free)?

Many thanks.

MacSpeakerz by True Audio

It runs in Classic on a Mac, so you have to have a PPC Mac running Tiger (or earlier) Software was discontinued in 1998 so not very easy to get.

Still shipping for Windoz. About WinSpeakerz: Loudspeaker Design software for Windows, A shame.

No way. A cheap PC is just that, cheap. If i really need to run WIndoz software there is Crossover mac (commercial version of WINE), Virtual Box from Sun (free) Parallels or VMWare.

Thank you Planet 10.

It always amazes me how fast you answer queries.

Luckily I am a Windozer, so I'll probably investigate this software further.

You wouldn't know of a free alternative would you?

Thanks again!

Hi Derek, So the 1" difference is a big deal? Or is the neo vs. ferrite magnet? The 4.5" are not available anywhere so the issue is moot I guess. Have you heard the 3.5" HiWave they are currently offering?

I'll look at it. $5 is cheap if it works.

iTunes is stupidly inept. Doesn't/t recognize folders, will only work two deep on tags, rather restrictive on length of file name. My library is 75% classical and I haven't figured out how to make iTunes work.

Anyone listened to the Fostex FF105WK? Its xmax is several times that of the 85 so it might be better at 8 feet. Perhaps as good as Alpair 6? (They are around the same ballpark price wise.)
