Default No free lunch.

Looking at my collection of drivers (fullrange and others) I've learned there's no free lunch when it comes to speaker design.

Zilla

PS. Sitting (again) at the local hospital enjoying heat, tv and electricity since my house does not have any of it!

No free lunch indeed, but design and build different enough things and you end-up with a fairly decent meal.

Hang in there!

hope you and your loved ones are safe & unhurt Zilla.

You'll be messing around with full range drivers before you know it

I feel for you Jeff.

It wasn't the disaster you guys just went thru, but 6 years ago a combination of weather and being on a spur with just 6 houses we were left without power for 18 days.

We wouldn't have gotten trhu it without the iPod, battery powered T-amp, Austin A126 system (and the wood stove & winter creek in the backyard)

i was in the US only once, and boston airport was closed because of a blizzard, so we were redirected to NY. In boston they did not have the electricity to cancel the conference, no fax, no mail, no telefone. when i arrived in boston three days late (warm hotel and good food in the meantime, though), they still were without electricity in some areas. It's good to have a wood stove in times of crisis.
