I feel for you Jeff.

It wasn't the disaster you guys just went thru, but 6 years ago a combination of weather and being on a spur with just 6 houses we were left without power for 18 days.

We wouldn't have gotten trhu it without the iPod, battery powered T-amp, Austin A126 system (and the wood stove & winter creek in the backyard)

i was in the US only once, and boston airport was closed because of a blizzard, so we were redirected to NY. In boston they did not have the electricity to cancel the conference, no fax, no mail, no telefone. when i arrived in boston three days late (warm hotel and good food in the meantime, though), they still were without electricity in some areas. It's good to have a wood stove in times of crisis.
