My Karlsons

Here are some photos of my home brewed Karlson Enclosures.

KL is the left channel, KR is the right (Both are 15" plus 4") and KC corresponds to the difference channel, L-R. The 4th is a detail of the support made for the coax, the tweeter in front of the woofers, holded with 4 pieces of wire.

The 15" are old 70´s Sansui (or Sansei) 6 ohms speakers, with the suspension replaced. Cones, coil, etc are original. The 4" are Jharo (Made in Argentina, cheaper ones).

They are covered in two tones leatherette, clear inside and a bit more dark outside. All three has small plastic wheels to easy move and clean the floor.

I´m no audio expert, nor musician, so I only can say that I like how they sound. With only 12W RMS per channel, the walls of my house, quake, and the neighbours gets angry!.

Joaquín Sabina and Joan Manuel Serrat play loud in this cabinets.

those are beautifully made Karlson cabinets. I found long ago that a good Karlson setup is generally better than a direct radiator/reflex and some blh. They can exhibit beautiful midrange and highs. Its interesting after all this time only a few folks have discovered Karlsons.
