Default Driver recomendation for shallow enclosure

I am in need of some advice on 3" full range drivers for a shallow enclosure of about 1ltr.
The plan is to turn an old clarinet case into a small portable using a 41htz amp6 with 12v battery pack. So the question is can a driver perform well enough in a cabinet that is only about 2.5" deep. The Aura NS3-193-8A would fit but I don't know how much space needs to be behind the driver.

Thanks

NS3 works OK in 1 litre. A chunk of UltraTouch in the case would be a good idea to stretch the apparent volume & help kill internal reflections & standing waves

Thanks Dave
How would the NS3 compare to the Fountek FE85 3". The reason I'm asking is because the FE85 is only 43.4mm deep as opposed to the NSE's 54.9mm. That would allow more clearance behind the driver. How much difference would that make. I have a pair of bookshelf speakers I made with the NS3's and I really like them a lot, so would like to be able to use them in this project.

cheers- preston

Haven't heard the FE85. I have some FR88 thou. They are a step up from the Aura quality wise & quite abit more efficient. But won't give the bass of the Aura,

Where are you? I'm flogging off my excess FR88s cheap. Savings on shipping might make them as cheap.

How much would you want for the FR88's. Could they be used in a sealed enclosure around 2ltr?
