I am getting ready to build a "little" BIB project. These will be used nearfield as desktop speakers. I have a couple of questions but this is what the spreadsheet spits out:
Driver Brand Tang Band Driver Model W3 319SF Fs 100 Vas (cu. Ft) 0.059 Qts 0.53 Line Length 67.323 Folded Height 33.661 Vb 0.534 Sm 27.393 Depth (internal) 6.224 Width (internal) 4.401 zdriver 14.609 a-b-c 3.112 Conversion Liters 1 Cubic Feet 0.035314667 Cabinet Wood Width 0.500 Outside Dimensions Width (external) 5.401 Depth (external) 7.224 Height(external) 34.161 Rounded Dimensions Width (external) 5.000 Depth (external) 7.000 Height (external)34 Cut Boards Per Box Front/Back 2 each Width 5.000 Length 34.000 Sides 2 each Width 6.000 Length 34.000 Slant 1 each Width 4.000 Length 31.000 Bottom 1 each Width 4.000 Length 6.000 Questions: At what height do I mount the driver (remembering that these will be sitting on a desk, I read somewhere lower is best)? How much stuffing is used? How low will these go? Thanks, Ed

The measurement to mount the driver is "zdriver." Measured from the top, you should mount your driver 14.609 inches down. I believe the stuffing should be placed in the section of the line above the driver, but you can try different amounts and locations to see what you like. Sorry, but I can't answer your question about how low it can go.
Mike
