The only other drivers I am interested in are the Audio Nirvana Alnico (have not heard them), and Lowther PM2A and PM6A although these are more expensive. If I was in America I would be going to David Dicks place to check out everything he has.

Plane ticket amd hotel/ travel to DavidDicks, goes a long way to paying gor the total project.

Just get those AN15 and tell David I have nuke pointed at his house that I need to dispose of if you are not happy with them.

Melon has told me he very much likes the combination of 15 and neo10 combination, he is just a curious little bugger. Alnico has such a storied history and is well known for its richtone, sorta like tube amps.

You can't really compare the AlNiCo with the ferrite so easily because the driver specs are quite different - just look at the Vas and the Qts. You'll have a lot of differences in sound if you compare them in the same box just because the alignments are different.

Thanks Bud. Actually i was considering the Fostex F17 or B&G Neo 3pdr (dipole option) but I'm not sure either one would be a good choice or not. I guess the real question would be what makes a decent match to the AN15 without costing an arm and a leg. The Seas 27TB DXT in the small wave guide looks interesting to. With my AN12's even though they do the highs nicely I still get the feeling that just a touch more air up the the stratospheric highs would be a good thing.
