von.ah, It is strange hearing low frequencies emanating from such a small space. Obviously they aren’t going to blow the doors off! Played at about 75dB in a small room they are great.

ra7, Of course there is more to the Orions than how they look, making these was an exercise in scale. I saw 5” sub-woofers and had the idea to make the Mini-me O4. This is also my first W baffle, the cavity resonance was lower and more pronounced than I had expected. I had to change the hole size up from an A5 after the front was glued on.

Squeak, I swap the 8 way Neutrik plug from my DIY challenge Orion-likes to the Mini's and switch preset on the DCX2496 (Jan / Frank Mods). The 1U amp contains 6 Hypex UCD180's and 2 Connexelectronic SMPS300R. The 4ohm W5 are wired in parallel! The micro's plugin to Hypex AS2.100.
