New Driver for Old KEF Q3

For some time I've been thinking about upgrading my KEF Q3 speakers with new drivers. I like the appearance of the Q3s and they fit in my lounge perfectly. I can't afford to replace them entirely at the moments but I'd like to improve their audio quality if possible.

Would a full-range driver like the 6.5" Fostex FF165WK be suitable for this enclosure?
Is it likely to give better quality audio than the existing KEF drivers or would it be a backward step? Are there any other drivers that I should consider?

I have an Arcam 75 amp.
