Default Interesting driver for OB

This Looks very cool. Speaker Detail | Eminence Speaker
Has built in volume control. Not only changes volume but Qts as well...

Hi,

Any series resistor will change i.e. increase driver Qts.

Fs of 89Hz and 0.5mm excursion make it a poor choice for OB's.

rgds, sreten.

Definitely intended for guitar use.
Note the peaky midrange response, and (as sreten rightly points out) tiny Xmax: says it's 0.047mm. Perhaps as part of a large 4-way to cover 200Hz-700Hz?

Has anyone dismantled one of these to figure out the flux modulation thingy?

Chris

DOH...I never even noticed the xmax

The sound clips of the rest of the line sound pretty nice. It seems the canibus rex has been used in OB's

Hi, Misprint. Further down it correctly states 0.47mm, rgds, sreten.
