Any news on your ply sippy?
Euro's are over thank goodness and the only team that still play the the game beautifully took their 3rd international tournament (euro's, world cup & euro's again). That said when Spain met Portugal they clocked up 9 yellow cards and 52 fouls between them in 90min of play!!! - That is an awful display bad sportsmanship especially as they kept on touting how football brings so many together for good - how can it possibly be held up as a shining example of fair play and heros for kids to look up too? In 31 tournament games there were around 850 fouls, thats 27 per game and just under one foul every 3min of play- What a bunch of animals now back to the normal program of soothing music & full range loveliness

Footie players are a bunch of over paid, over rated (as sports people and as roll models).........(looks around to see if any ones in earshot)......wazzocks.
I have no respect for 'the beautiful game' since the events leading up to and including the last world cup. For those that dont know, certain members of the england squad said that they should be paid - thats PAID - to play for their country! Then they played so badly that they wondered why the fans Boo'd them off the pitch. Not the smartest bunch of chaps. And a deal struck a few months ago meens that Sky broadcasting are now able to PAY the clubs MORE MONEY. One only has to watch Schrek (or Bubblehead as hes aka) play to realise he's on a good deal, 30 maybe 50k a week and he runs round for maybe 3mins in a match, the rest is catching his breath and wondering what flavour pie's for dinner. A far cry from the pittance that Rugby players get paid - or pro cyclists, who can do 5hrs effort every day for 3 weeks, then do the olympics/worlds and nationals........ and most of them to a man, would probably pay to be on the national squad. Cavendish wins S2 by half a wheel......YAY! Re Ply, a few more £'s and wait for the credit to be deposited , hopefully by the end of the week my friend with the saw will be making more dust for me. I've started to run the 12lta's in, no dust cap ectomy as yet though. Thoughts have turned to basket damping / stiffening, I'm currently thinking about bonding 'high density Pu foam' (200kg/m³) to the basket legs with whatever glue is used for bonding in car windscreens, then laminating carbon tape / epoxy from basket edge to edge, the junction betwixt the magnet and basket filleted with foam, more carbon tape. Or I might go with bonding 2 lams of marine ply, edge grained to the basket. What have you used for stuffing the Em's JKRO? I know Dave advocates the use of carpet underlay felt in the smaller cabinets, it might be tricky to find down here, though a quick search finds this stuff: Own Label 42oz Felt Underlay - 15 07m2 They also do 28oz. I shall look into your music tip, I'm a 'listen to any' kinda guy, you name it, I'll give it ear time. And if I need a really critical ear, I sit my mother in the hot seat, she plays piano, clarinet, recorder and sings in her churches choir. |

On a fishy note Sippy my new Shimano 13ft beach caster and reel arrived - I'll be chasing those Bass & flatties now! Here fishy fishy!
I'm going to start playing around with a bit of toe in tomorrow as I'm acclimatised to back to the wall straight down the room setup. Might even widen the space between them. Will let you know how it goes Any convenient breaks in the weather over there in BC Dave, Chris?
