Bass alignment filter or shelving cricuit for Aerial 10T?

I have a pair of Aerial 10Ts. I recently came across an article on B&W's bass alignment filter (B&W Filter). It got me thinking about whether the Aerial's would benefit from such a filter. Some rummaging around brought me to this post which introduced me to the idea of a low bass shelving circuit. The shelving circuit sounds more appealing since it's passive and I don't listen to much vinyl.

My question is would my speakers benefit from such additional circuitry?
