Hi all,
I have been going through the forum studying the possibilities of building a set of full range speakers. My current set is a pair of Visaton concordes that I built myself on a Melody MI880 tube amp. I am happy with this combination but feel the speakers to be extremely 'clean' and am looking for something that brings some more warmth and feel and life into the music (sorry, don't know how to best describe it) I am considering building the Sachiko. The amount of information is so huge that I am sort of lost when it comes to choosing a driver. As I understand the Sachiko is designed for the fostex fe206e which is no longer in production. My question is: -What is a good alternative for this driver? Regards, Jock |

Zia,
Vulcan (for FE206En) would be a step up from Sachiko, Victor is for FE166En. (but not a free planset as Sachiko is -- but between wood & drivers you are already spending $500+ what's another £50?) dave
