The woofer on the side is like baffle step without losing any of the signal in an XO. It also adds interesting imaging. My first design was with both on the front in a d'Appolito style but there were comb filtering issues. Mounted like they are I killed two birds with one stone.

today finished mounting them vertically in the hedlund cabs i have.

still breaking them in.

really good sound.

added a bit of poly fill behind the speakers and at the bottom of the hedlund chamber. still a bit of horn honk. but very good sound from 4 little speakers!

sounds more balanced than the BOFUs put in them 2 years back.
