Default flush mounting Audio Nirvana full range speaker

Have any DIY builders flush mounted the Audio Nirvana full ranger drivers in a rebated baffle cutout instead of the surface mounting of the AN's I usually see
( including my own ) ?

Just wondered if there is an improvement for the tweeter ( whizzer cone ) performance or a negative result by flush mounting to the baffle.
