I think this is a great idea and even have sketches in my pad with thoughts of something similar (but not as good). Mine had an opening to place the entire mp3 player into. The one in the video above is the coolest one i've seen so far. I want one!

Given the inherent poor quality of the iphone's speaker I wouldn't expect too much from this. My iPhone car mount has a small built in "horn" whose throat presses up against the speaker slot at the bottom to amplify the sound.... Works great for turn by turn directions, but it isn't even remotely music quality.

For background music this would be such a simple idea to amplify the iPhone. Who's going to break out MJKs spreadsheets and design one? Just kidding... sort of.
