Default mystery norelco?

Hello folks i have just acquired a few odd drivers from an elderly gent. In amongst them is a nice looking full ranger with a bakelite whizzer.i have seen reference to an 8 10 and 12 inch version but mine is 9 looks exactly the same as this but with no mounting holes.
1 PHILIPS FULLRANGE ALNICO 8" SPEAKER WITH BAKELITE HORN 28860460 | eBay
Does anyone have any info or better still another one . Having to downsize so experimenting with smaller fullrangers .

I cannot answer your question directly. I came across a Philips 9760M (12") a few years ago. When inquiring I was provided with the following information ( on Audiokarma.org).

"The "M" after 9760 means you have a double cone(as we europeans call it) or whizzer cone version.Gives extended high frequency response.
There was also a 9760-05 version with a bakelite cone fastened to the magnet.
The 9760 also came with a larger magnet and was called 9762."

Now I fully realize that this is not YOUR speaker, but perhaps the number convetion is the same (M vs 05) I believe Philips and Norelco are for all intents and purposes the same. ( A guess on my part) If you'd like I could pass your inquiry on to the AK member who provided the information.

it looks like a Philips 9702. You can find some information about the driver on the site of John's Radio Web .
