I am looking for a 3-4" woofer to use in a sealed enclosure, driven at 60W RMS (at 4Ω), for a mobile application. It would be nice to minimize the Vb, so the lower the Qts the better.
The problems I've had is the power handling for such woofers is too low, or the EPB is high (120+) which leads me to believe the driver would be better suited for a vented enclosure. Is this typical for such small speakers? On a side note, I would like to use a pair of Beyma 8BR40's for the low frequencies, but they do take up a bit of room. Can anyone recommend a nice 6-8" woofer as well? 35 Hz would be great to reach, but not absolutely imperative. I apologize if this information has been discussed elsewhere, as I am quite new to this site. |
